I'm Kimberly Kniveton MBA, ACC, owner of Ascent Coaching & Consulting.  I bring over 14 years of human resource, organizational development, training and coaching experience to my clients.  My passion is supporting people and organizations in working together to achieve results.  I believe that building and maintaining trusting relationships provides the ultimate competitive advantage.  My clients comment that my fun, positive and engaging personality all contribute to helping individuals and organizations achieve success.   I truly believe if you aren't having fun, then why do it at all?

My experience ranges from small (25 employees) to large organizations (over 60,000 employees) where I was an internal coach and a key member in implementing organizational change.  I have worked in the United States and have also lived and worked in the United Kingdom. I am currently part of the adjunct staff at the University of Utah Professional Development Center.

I have a BA in psychology and communications, obtained my MBA in 2000 and received my coach specific training from CoachU.  I am an ACC certified coach with the International Coach Federation (ICF), a certified member of the 6 Seconds Emotional Intelligence Network, am qualified to perform the Life Styles Inventory both with individuals and within organizations and am qualified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).  I am also licensed to run both Team and Professional Best Year Yet programs.  I am an active member of the International Coach Federation, American Society for Training and Development, the Society for Human Resource Management and The American Management Association.

I currently live in my native Salt Lake City, Utah with my husband, Juan and my two children, Iain & Hannah.  We also have an aging Siberian Husky that has gone through thick and thin with me.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading, skiing (who wouldn't in Utah!), and spending time with my family.  

I believe my life mission is to support others in their journey to make changes that make a difference and to get results.  I am available for consultation work, strategy leadership development, organizational surveys, team building, training & meeting facilitation, corporate and leaderhsip coaching and Best Year Yet programs.  I also coach individuals to achieve extraordinary results in their personal & professional lives.
